For casual voters the debate between Mitt Romney and
Barrak Obama tonight, October 3, 2012, will mark the first step in deciding who
will be the next chief executive of the federal government. Americans will sit
captivated as two candidates with very similar philosophies on the role of the
state offer up heated rhetoric and talking points meant to propogate the illusion of a choice in our so called two
party system. As the only two contenders allowed to sit on stage we will listen
as they differ on what amount Americans should be taxed on their labor, on what
extent we should intervene in the affairs of other countries, on how much money
should be printed out of thin air by the federal reserve, and on exactly what
is the best way for the government to “take care of the poor” and manage the
economy.
