Why is Boehner meeting with Obama?

According to this article published by Market Watch on March 13, 2013 speaker of the house John Boehner called his closed door budget meeting with the president "productive." Well, I guess for the casual observer that could be considered a good thing...that's how it was intended, to be a good thing for the masses.

In reality, it just shows the ineptness of Washington as a whole. It is the president's job to sign a federal budget, it is the job of congress to pass one. Of course the hoopla is supposedly about finding a grand bargain to avoid shutting down the federal government (we should be so lucky) and it's all a bunch of bullshit. It's smoke and mirrors. The debt ceiling will be raised, more liberty will be stolen, and the leviathan will grow larger. This will continue until it dies of obesity or the people wake up and quit feeding it.
