Looks like debt deal will get done....but let's fight like hell anyway

According to Politico congressional leaders have reached a deal to raise the debt ceiling:

Opening the Senate at noon, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said he was “cautiously optimistic.” And after a lengthy afternoon meeting between Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Democrats said the two leaders were receptive to the outlines of the agreement largely negotiated by McConnell through Vice President Joe Biden.
Later, Reid’s office issued a statement that said: “Sen. Reid has signed off on the debt ceiling agreement pending caucus approval.”

It seems the urge to get one more fix was just too strong to avoid. I suppose no serious person ever believed the addicts in Washington would give up their drug of choice.

It is still our duty to fight like hell for the good of our Republic. Let's spend the next few days calling our Rep's and let them know that we will be constantly harassing them until election day.

Let us make it clear that we will not only vote against them but we will campaign vigorously to persuade others to vote against them. Any one who votes to raise the debt ceiling is a traitor to this country and should lose his job.
