This morning, I predicted that Ron Paul would have a good day in Ames....I was right. He took 2nd place over all right behind the pretend constitutionalist Michele Bachmann. The difference between first and second was 1%.
Last week, I wrote that If Dr. Paul finished in the top 2, the momentum would be on his side and if he finished below Newt he'd be in trouble. In the last Ames Straw Poll Ron Paul finished fifth with just 1,305 votes. We have come a long way in just a few years and the momentum is growing!
UPDATE: It is worth noting that Michele Bachmann gave away over 6000 tickets to this event.
