The $6 billion porn industry is under assault from all sides. Recently,
in an attempt to "protect" adult actors Los Angeles Mayor Antonio
Villaraigosa signed a mandate
that all adult film productions shot within city limits be required to
use condoms. Many say this will simply push the industry out of the job starved city
into the welcoming arms of Las Vegas, but if Presidential candidate
Rick Santorum has his way the porn industry will simply go overseas
and/or underground. Santorum wants to ban pornography altogether,
calling it "destructive to society." Here is an example of two very
different politicians with very different agendas projecting their
common belief that government must protect individuals from themselves.
